Ciudadano ejemplar, 2024-25. Instalación compuesta por un cuchillo de cocina intervenido y una cuerda. Medidas variables. El cuchillo lleva escrita la frase “estic massa cansat per pensar” (estoy demasiado cansado para pensar). La obra pertenece a la serie Poéticas del Capitalismo.
La sociedad se mantiene por un peligroso equilibrio. El ciudadano ejemplar es obediente e ignora su verdadera fuerza. Vive por inercia, auto explotado, agotado, demasiado cansado para pensar.
Esta instalación es frágil, los nudos que unen la cuerda con el cuchillo de cocina son débiles. En cualquier momento se pueden soltar.
Exemplary Citizen, 2024-25. Installation consisting of an intervened kitchen knife and a rope. Variable measurements. The knife has the phrase ‘estic massa cansat per pensar’ (I'm too tired to think) written on it. The work belongs to the series Poéticas del Capitalismo (Poetics of Capitalism).
Society is maintained by a dangerous equilibrium. The exemplary citizen is obedient and ignores his true strength. He lives by inertia, self-exploited, exhausted, too tired to think.
This installation is fragile, the knots that bind the rope to the kitchen knife are weak. At any moment they can come loose.
